The human control on the irrigation of the Delta, makes the natural hydric cycle of the Delta lagoons change, also it change the contribution of freshwater. In consequence the submerged vegetation depends of the water salinity.

Because this salinity of the water table and the inundations caused by the sea during the storms, some dunes are appearing fixed by the vegetation.

Common species:

Ammophila arenaria subsp. Arundinacea
Elymusfarctussubsp. Faicus

Next to the lagoons and "Ullals" we find the reedbed, with characteristic plants like:

Phragmitescrustalis subsp. Chrysanthus
Cladium mariscus
Typhasp. pl.

Next to the Ebre River we got the Ribera forest, dominated by:

Populus alba
Salix alba
Alnus glutinosa
Fraxinus s p ll.
Lonicera biflora

At the "Ullals" we can find:

Water lilies (Nymphaea alba)
